# Fashion Design Portfolio Presentation: Presenting Your Process and Garments A portfolio review is a conversation about your design thinking. The way you present the work — what you emphasize, how you talk about decisions — can elevate an already strong portfolio. ## Choose your deep-dive pieces Pick two or three projects you can discuss for ten minutes each. For every one, know: - the starting inspiration and research - the key design decisions - the construction challenges and how you solved them - your role, especially in group or assisted work - what you would do differently ## The structure of a strong walkthrough 1. **The inspiration.** Where did the idea come from? Mood, research, references. 2. **The development.** How did sketches and experiments refine the concept? 3. **The garments.** What was made, how, and what the photos show. 4. **The reflection.** What you learned and what you'd change. ## Show process, not just results Interviewers respond to how you think. Flip to a sketch page or a toile photo and explain a decision it represents.
